The Location
The Armada By-the-Sea boasts one of the best oceanfront locations in family-oriented Wildwood Crest, NJ.
Our central location affords us the convenience of being within walking distance to the famous Wildwood Boardwalk, while also being far enough away from the activity to enjoy the peace you long for on a beach getaway.
Being located next to Centennial Park allows guests to take advantage of the Crest’s free summer concert series, whether at the park while their children run free, or from the comfort of their balcony while their little ones are fast asleep in their room. And, of course, the wide open park guarantees that every room in our building enjoys a picturesque, unobstructed view of the beach and ocean.

The Beaches
The beaches in Wildwood Crest are ideal for families. While admittedly the walk to the ocean is long, the wide-open space makes the extra effort worthwhile. Extended families often set up tents and umbrellas and make it an all-day affair.
On the beach itself, there is plenty of room for football or wiffleball tournaments without disrupting other beach-goers. The powdery white sand is perfect for sandcastle-building and the gentle, gradual slope leading into the ocean is optimal for toddlers who are tentatively wading into the water.
The Cleanliness
One of the most frequent comments we receive is how clean our property is. To our joy, one guest wrote,
“The Armada is also as clean as you could ever hope for a hotel to be. Our four year old insists on wearing socks in the room and his white socks stayed white!!”

The Pool
The Armada’s pool is heated, sparkling clean and has a sunny southern exposure all day. Its two-feet-deep kiddie pool is ideal for babies and toddlers while the adjacent covered tables and lounge chairs allow parents to relax while their little ones safely play nearby. The pool-side complimentary BBQ grill provides the option to stay close to family while they swim as you prepare dinner.

The Armada is a family-run business. The first generation built the motel, the second generation now owns it, the third generation works there, and you’ll daily see the fourth generation in the pool. And when you stay at the Armada, you become like family.
Our staff knows our guests by name. The housekeepers remember your special requests. The guests love to talk football with the maintenance staff, who they also know by name. As guests return year after year, they develop relationships with other long-term guests. We’ve seen guests change their vacation dates to make sure they come the same time as new friends.
